The connection and separation mechanism of the splint type traction seat is a splint. The single degree of freedom splint type 2 (50.8mm) traction seat is mainly composed of a bracket, a seat plate and a splint mechanism. Seat plates are welded or cast from steel stampings (for heavy vehicles). There is lubricating oil groove on the surface and the lubricating grease is filled to ensure the lubrication of the friction surface. The base plate can be inclined 8 ° longitudinally around the transverse axis. The bracket of the tractor assembly is installed on the tractor through the base plate. The base plate has several different heights for users to choose, so as to ensure the correct matching of the saddle height of the tractor and semi-trailer. The connection, traction and separation of tractor and semi-trailer are completed by the locking mechanism of the traction seat clamp.

During traction, the traction pin is located in the round hole formed by the left and right clamping plates, and the backward traction force on the traction pin tends to force the clamping plates to open. Under the action of the spring, the lock block wedges into the groove of the clamping plate to overcome the above tension, so as to ensure that the left and right clamping plates are always tightly closed during driving.

A safety block is installed at the front end of the lock block guide rod to prevent the lock block from falling off from the plywood groove due to accidental collision of the control lever during normal execution, which may lead to the opening and separation of the plywood;

When it is necessary to disengage, the train stops. The driver pulls out the safety block and pulls the lever forward to overcome the spring tension, so that the lock block comes out of the groove at the front end of the left and right plywood.

Under the action of the extension spring, the locking piece rotates counterclockwise and uses the groove at one end to clamp the wedge at the front end of the locking block so that it cannot return. At this time, the tractor is driven forward, and the traction cable hits the round hole of the clamp plate and opens the clamp plate to complete the separation process. The connection process is just the opposite.

After separation, the left and right clamping plates are knocked apart by the traction pin, and the latch on the right clamping plate pushes the locking piece to rotate clockwise to make it leave the wedge of the fixed block. The slider moves backward under the action of the spring until it rests against the top of the spike.

If the front splint is closed, the driver must first pull the control lever forward to make the lock block come out of the groove in the front of the left and right splints, then the tractor moves backward, and the traction pin hits the opening of the left and right splints to open them, as shown in the following figure. Disconnected status.

If the tractor continues to reverse, the traction pin will hit the front end of the left and right plywood round holes, forcing the two plywood to close. Under the action of the spring, the lock block falls back into the groove at the front end of the left and right clamping plates, and the fifth wheel completes the hooking process and inserts the fuse.
